By Kahrin Deines

It may very well be that you fell in love in Provincetown. And if you haven’t yet, never fear because there were will be many opportunities to fall – or re-fall – head over heels during the upcoming Valentine’s weekend.
 | Many discounts are available for lovers seeking a way to spend the weekend in Provincetown, so call your favorite guesthouse and ask them what they're offering for love or money. |

Provincetown, after all, has been celebrating the love of all people – GLBT and straight – for decades now. And in honor of Cupid’s day, the whole town will turn its eyes to watch as the legendary Pilgrim Monument blushes from head to toe.
That’s right, the Pilgrim Monument is going red for Valentine’s Day. As it will be a sight to behold, many area businesses and venues are also hosting promotions and events to feed the flames of passion.
On the entertainment front, the husband-and-wife jazz duo of Sonny Daye and Perley Rousseau will be performing at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum at 2 p.m. on February 14. Later in the day, cabaret favorite Brian Patton will be returning to his summer haunt, The Crown and Anchor, for a one-night-only performance.
And over at the A-House the weekend will get hot with a “Love Ball” on V-Day and an “I Love Classic Disco” party on February 15.
Since eyes are the windows to the soul, a number of art events have also been scheduled for the weekend.
Outer Cape Auctions is hosting an auction of work by past and present Cape Cod artists at the Provincetown Inn on February 15.
And galleries are getting in on the love fest too. At the Bowersock Gallery, a “Good for the Heart” exhibit is set to open on V-Day. Over at the Art House, there will also be a meet and greet for its first winter exhibition “Random Thoughts.” Steve Bowersock curated the juried exhibit, which aims to showcase work by underrepresented Provincetown artists.
Meanwhile, many discounts are available for lovers seeking a way to spend the weekend in Provincetown.
The Crown and Anchor Hotel is offering a third night free and a bottle of Sparkling Rose, with a two-night booking over the weekend. And The Gifford House is presenting sweetheart gift baskets to all of its suitors.
Other hotels are also offering special love promotions. To find them, check out Provincetown.com’s Room Finder and Last-Minute Availability.
For transportation, the Plymouth-Brockton bus line is also unleashing a special Love Bus to offer non-stop, round-trip service from Boston to Provincetown.
