Truro Ag Fair ready to roll

On Sunday, Sept 5, the second annual Truro Agricultural Fair takes place in Truro Center at the Truro Green and nearby Veteran’s Park from 10 am to 4 pm. See below for a list of road closings to accommodate the fair that day.

Several restaurants will have booths and offer up tastes of their specialties.

At the fair there are crafts and pony rides for the kids, fresh local produce for sale at the Farmer’s Harvest Market, barnyard beauty contests, pie baking and pie eating contests and many others like heaviest tomato contest. There is live music all day.

Road Closings - Sept. 5

On Sunday Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. the roads in and around Truro Center will be closed or detoured for the second annual Truro Agricultural Fair. The fair has grown from the Village Green across from Jam’s to include the new Veteran’s Park area.
In response to last year’s crowds, parking demands and to insure a good and safe traffic flow, the Truro police have authorized closures, detours and one-day side of the road parking.

—Truro Center Road will be open to one way southbound traffic only from Town Hall Road to Depot Road.
—Truro Center Road will be reduced to one lane.
—Use Town Hall Road to get to Truro Center.
—South Pamet Road will be closed from Truro Center Road to the North Pamet intersection.
—Parking will be available on North Pamet Road near the Pamet Roads ramps and along So Pamet and Depot Roads. Parking will be allowed on the East bound side of South Pamet Road and on the west side of Depot Road. Limited parking will be allowed and available in Truro Center. There is no parking available at Jams/Post Office Complex.
—Northbound bus stops will be temporarily moved to the east side of Route 6 on South Pamet Road close to Truro Center.
—Southbound Busses will have
access to Truro Center.
