Born in Manchester, England, JANE SOUTH worked at as set designer in experimental theater before moving to the United States in 1989. South had a recent solo exhibition, Floor/Ceiling at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum (March – August 2013) and exhibited Shifting Structures: Stacks a large site-specific installation at the New York Public Library, Mid-Manhattan (Sept. 2012 - Jan. 2013). In April 2014 she will have her fifth solo exhibition with Spencer Brownstone Gallery, NYC.

BEN LERNER is the author of three books of poetry: The Lichtenberg Figures (2004), Angle of Yaw (2006), and Mean Free Path (2010), all published by Copper Canyon Press. He has been a finalist for the National Book Award in poetry, a Fulbright Scholar in Spain, a Howard Foundation Fellow, and a Guggenheim Fellow. In 2011 he became the first American to win the Preis der Stadt Münster für Internationale Poesie for the German translation of The Lichtenberg Figures.

AKIKO JACKSON has had several artist residencies, including the Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts, Lawrence Arts Center, Pottery Northwest, and Lo Studio dei Nipoti. Akiko’s awards include the Art Bridge Fellowship from the Pratt Fine Arts Center, the Artist Trust GAP Award, and the Archipelago Foundation Annual Residency, among others.

ALEJANDRO GUZMAN first received a BS in Biology from the University of Colorado, before going on to the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and to earn his MFA from the School of Visual Arts. His work has been shown extensively in both solo and group exhibitions in New York. Alejandro has been awarded a Workspace Residency from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, and has been published online and in print, in publications such as Insight Magazine.

ALEXANDRIA SMITH is a Brooklyn based artist born in Bronx, NY and raised in New Rochelle, NY. Smith received her BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University, an MA in Art Education from New York University and an MFA in Painting and Drawing from Parsons, The New School for Design in 2010. Alexandria is the recipient of several awards and residencies including the Golden Foundation Artist Residency (2013), the Educational Alliance VSC Fellowship Award (2012), the Rush Arts Summer Residency (2011) and the BRIC Media Arts Fellowship (2011).

JARROD BECK is a second-year visual arts Fellow who went to the Glasgow School of Art, earned a M. ARCH degree from Tulane University and an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. He has created installations at Socrates Sculpture Park, Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, Lower Manhatten Cultural Counsil, South Street Seaport Museum, Lawndale Art Center, the Instituto Cervantes NY and Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas. Jarrod’s residencies include the MacDowell Colony, Vermont Studio Center, Robert Blackburn Print Workshop, and Lower East Side Printshop.

LENDITA XHEMAJLI first earned her GNVQ in Art and Design and her BTEC Diploma in Fine Art from Thomas Danby College in Leeds, UK. After graduating Level 4 from Leeds College of Art and Design, Lendita went on to earn her BA in Sculpture from Edinburgh College of Art, where she also won the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop Graduate Research Award. Her work has been shown exclusively in exhibits across Scotland.

Recent work appears in The Claudius App: A Journal of Fast Poetry. ANDREW PALMER was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and holds an MFA in fiction from Johns Hopkins University. His writing has been published in The Times Literary Supplement, the San Francisco Chronicle, Kenyon Review Online, The Paris Review Daily, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, The New Yorker's "Shouts and Murmurs" website, and elsewhere.

SARA GELSTON grew up in Maine and holds an MFA from the University of Illinois. She has worked as a teacher, bartender, factory worker, and legal writer, and was most recently the Diane Middlebrook Poetry Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing. GREG JACKSON recently completed an MFA in Fiction at the University of Virginia, where he was a Henry Hoyns Fellow and the 2012 recipient of the Henfield Prize.
