JOHN LENNON SHOW RETURNS
 | The Lennon show, titled “In My Life,” is a re-affirmation of his message of peace and love. For those unfamiliar with the artist side of this former Beatle, the show is an introduction to his work. |
|
The art show of work by the late John Lennon is returning for a second year to the UU Meeting House in Provincetown for three days, Sept. 3-5. A free will donation taken at the door will benefit the Meeting House.
This show of work by Lennon includes prints done in the ‘70s and signed by the artist and other prints that have been produced from his work after his death that are signed by his widow, Yoko Ono. The work is presented in lithographs, copper etchings, serigraphs and aquatints of his drawings including those done for his son Sean.

The show, titled “In My Life,” is a re-affirmation of his message of peace and love. For those unfamiliar with the artist side of this former Beatle, the show is an introduction to his work. Before becoming world famous as part of the Fab Four, Lennon attended Liverpool Art School for three years. He continued his drawings and paintings throughout his life, often using them to illustrate his ideas and even his song lyrics.
The exhibit is touring the U.S. and pieces are for sale.

HELEN MIRANDA WILSON SHOW OPENS
The Albert Merola Gallery announces the opening of an exhibition of new work by Helen Miranda Wilson. The exhibition will consist primarily of a small group of very intense and beautiful gouache paintings on paper.
Wilson’s show opens from 8 to 10 pm on Friday, Aug. 27 and continues through Sept. 16.
She is continuing her explorations and revelations in this form of abstract painting which began some years back with the “Calendar” paintings, and “Confetti” group.
Wilson has been a longtime member of the Provincetown and Wellfleet arts communities. She exhibits her work regularly in Provincetown and New York, and is in many public and private collections.
