Therapeutic Touch, and Reiki are forms of Energy Work that promote healing, relaxation, and stress reduction. It can also be used by some people to reduce pain. Survivors of abuse do well with this type of companion therapy because the client does not necessarily need to be physically touched if s/he does not want to be.
