June 18th, 2012

Provincetown's guesthouses, inns, and hotels offer a variety of different amenities to visitors. Whether your heart is set on a beachfront suite, hot tub, fireplace, on-site spa or restaurant, gourmet breakfast, or some other extravagance, it is certain one of Provincetown's many lodging options will have what you need.

If itís proximity to Provincetown's exciting nightlife that youíre after, a stay at The Crown and Anchor might be in order.

A number of inns and guesthouses in Provincetown distinguish themselves by offering various on-site attractions.

In addition to offering spectacular rooms and suites, the Crowne Pointe Historic Inn awards its guests with an award-winning spa and fine dining restaurant. Likewise, The Red Inn can boast about its on-site restaurant, which was recently the recipient of Cape Cod Life magazine's Gold Medal Award for fine dining.

If itís proximity to Provincetown's exciting nightlife that youíre after, on the other hand, a stay at The Crown and Anchor might be in order, along with one of the many martinis that can be had at the 4 bars on its sprawling premises, some of which offer live entertainment.

Another set of inns and guesthouses make it their business to offer visitors a variety of lodging options. For example, The Masthead Resort is perfect for large groups with a variety of needs because it has motel rooms, studios, suites, and cottages.

The Provincetown Inn, a sprawling complex with a restaurant, pool, beachfront suites, and rooms is also a good choice for groups that want to stay in one place, but perhaps have different budgetary needs.

The Brass Key Guesthouse also offers a variety of accommodations, with both rooms and cottages available that are located in a series of 18th- and 19th-century buildings circling a lovely central courtyard. Likewise, The Benchmark has two buildings, which offer different types of accommodations: a 150-year-old, Greek Revival home with 7 rooms that have private entrances and fireplaces and a central hotel with contemporary rooms that surround a two-story atrium.

There are also guesthouses in town that offer a uniquely themed setting for their visitors. The Carpe Diem guesthouse was designed in dedication to the dead poets, with rooms named in honor of Walt Whitman, Rainer Maria Rilke, Emily Dickinson, Marcel Proust, Harry Kemp, Eugene OíNeill, and Henry David Thoreau. Romeo's Holiday, on the other hand, honors that most famous of bards, William Shakespeare, with rooms named after his plays. There are many more guesthouses rich with history and sure to make your stay one you will not forget.
