March 10th, 2014

Provincetown's guesthouses, inns, and hotels offer a multitude of special amenities to visitors. Whether your heart is set on a beachfront suite, rooms with a hot tub or fireplace, on-site spa or restaurant, gourmet breakfast, or other treats, you'll likely find it at one of Provincetown's many lodging options!

There are also guesthouses in town that offer a uniquely themed setting for their visitors.

In addition to offering spectacular rooms and suites, the Crowne Pointe Historic Inn boasts the award-winning Shui Spa and fine dining restaurant, The Pointe. In addition to stunning water views and chic and traditional rooms the Red Inn can boast about its on-site restaurant, which is recipient of Cape Cod Life magazine's Gold Medal Award for fine dining.

If on the other hand you prefer to being in the middle of the action and nightlife, a stay at The Crown and Anchor might be in order, where you can also enjoy live entertainment at the Paramount and Crown Cabaret, great food and atmosphere at their Central House restaurant, or enjoy casual specialty martinis, video and great dancing at the Wave Bar!

Another set of inns and guesthouses make it their business to offer visitors a variety of lodging options. For example The Masthead Resort is perfect for large groups with a variety of needs because it has motel rooms, studios, suites, and cottages. Come enjoy their 450-foot private beach, relax on the sundeck by the water, stroll the beautifully landscaped grounds or sunbathe on the comfortable lounging chairs and more.
The Provincetown Inn, a sprawling complex in the West End with a restaurant, pool, beachfront suites, and rooms is also a good choice for groups that want to stay in one place, but have a more modest budget.
If you prefer the East End of town, you'll enjoy the Sandcastle Resort, which offers one bedroom suites, studios, and motel rooms, all with full bathrooms and many with kitchens and private balconies! They also have a free shuttle to the center of town, so you can leave your car behind and explore the attractions on foot without worry.

The Sunset Inn is one of Provincetown's oldest guesthouses. Built in the mid-19th century as a private home, it has been a guesthouse welcoming visitors to Provincetown for more than half a century. Next door, John Randall House is a large Victorian-Style home originally constructed to the standards of the then town doctor. After over a hundred years, this home has seen Provincetown evolve into a unique, historical, and vibrant mix of traditions and modern style.

There are also guesthouses in town that offer a uniquely themed setting for their visitors. The Carpe Diem guesthouse was designed in dedication to the historical writers, with rooms named in honor of Walt Whitman, Rainer Maria Rilke, Emily Dickinson, Marcel Proust, Harry Kemp, Eugene O’Neill, and Henry David Thoreau. It's also home to their popular Namaste Spa, which offers massages, energy healing, polishes and wraps, yoga and more. Romeo's Holiday, on the other hand, honors that most famous of bards, William Shakespeare, with rooms named after his plays. There are many more guesthouses rich with history and sure to make your stay one you will not forget.
