Leslie Jordan at The Crown
Performing ''My Trip Down the Pink Carpet''
By Kahrin Deines
July 28th, 2008
Where else could a “trip down the pink carpet” properly end than in Provincetown?
 | Leslie Jordan is performing at The Crown and Anchor between August 7 and 9. |

That’s right, after 25 cities and even more performances, the Leslie Jordan is bringing his one-man show “My Trip Down the Pink Carpet” to a close with three performances at The Crown and Anchor’s Paramount Nightclub.
Jordan, who won an Emmy for his portrayal of Beverley Leslie on “Will & Grace,” based his new show on a book of the same name. The book traces his journey from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to an out-career in Hollywood, where he has appeared in hundreds of television shows and films.
The new show completes Jordan’s autobiography on stage, as it follows his one-man work “Like a Dog on Linoleum,” which focused on his experience growing up gay in the South.
In addition to acting, writing and performing, Jordan has also been involved with the Trevor Project hotline for LGBT youth. Since the hotline gets so many calls from Jordan’s old stomping grounds in the Bible Belt, it inspired him to tell the tale of his journey out and the trials along the way.
Along with the new book and tour, Jordan also stars as Brother Boy in the new Logo series “Sordid Lives,” a prequel to the movie that first made his name on the art house film circuit. The 10-episode series began airing this week.
Leslie Jordan will be performing at 8:30 p.m. at The Crown and Anchor between August 7 and 9. Tickets are available for the show at The Crown’s box office or online at www.onlyatthecrown.com.
