THURSDAY 7/29
Big day and night on Thursday with the Bobby Miller book release party and one of those rare but fabulous Space Pussy reunions.

Bobby’s book Ptown Peeps is being celebrated with a book party and photo exhibition from 5 to 10 pm at the Cabral House, 160 Commercial St. across from The Boatslip. If half the models are there it will be a mob scene. Bring your checkbook, books and posters for sale and a big slideshow outside at dusk.

Space Pussy, the Ryan Landry rocker band is baaack and will play at the Crown & Anchor’s Paramount Room. They have been rehearsing crazy stuff. The lineup is a who’s who in Ptown performance royalty with more than a few surprises. Show starts at 10:30. $20 gets you in.

Antje Duvekot and Richard Shindell will perform a concert to benefit The Wellfleet Preservation Hall at 8 pm at the Wellfleet Congregational Church. General admission is $28 but for $45 you can get preferred seating and a party afterward with the musicians. Tickets at Left Bank Gallery on Commercial St. in Wellfleet or Seaside Liquors on Route 6 in Wellfleet.

FRIDAY 7/30
If it’s Friday it must be Scream Along With Billy album night at Enzo in Provincetown. Billy takes off on keyboards and stream of consciousness with this week’s featured album “Hot Fuss” from the Killers. Sue Goldberg is on bass. Guest stars are always likely to show up. Show starts at 11 pm. No cover but bring cash for the tip bucket.

SATURDAY 7/31
It’s official and just been announced. Margaret Cho and Bruce Vilanch are the Grand Marshals of this year’s Carnival Parade. Carnival’s theme this year is Jungle Fantasy (where is that leopard skin loincloth?) and takes place from Aug. 15-20. Cho and Vilanch will perform in town at the Madeira Room/Vixen that week in separate shows. There is a costume contest and a Jungle Jam Pier Dance. Check it all out at the Provincetown Business Guild, www.ptown.org.

SUNDAY 8/1
The Music@5 series continues with Sondheim at the UU Church, 236 Commercial St. in Provincetown. The series is the brainchild of composer/pianist John Thomas and this summer’s line up is extensive, alternating between Broadway and classical. Who doesn’t like a little night music.

Flamenco guitarist Juanito Pascual is at the Payomet Performing Arts Center in North Truro at 8:15 pm. Before the concert, at 6 pm the film “Noche de Flamenco” is screened.
