Miller Releases Portrait Book

Bobby Miller, photographer and poet, just released his second Ptown Peeps book of portraits of Provincetown faces. He held a book release party at Jennifer Cabral’s fab captain’s house across from the Boatslip last Thursday.
Inside, large framed portraits filled the glass enclosed entry room. Jen, herself, presided over the bar and a steady stream of those in the portraits and those wanting to see them kept coming all afternoon.
A VIP lounge was tucked off to one side and a small rear courtyard filled and ebbed all day.
Bobby was resplendent in white.
Although most came in “street” clothes, a few, most notably Norman Vane, revisited their portrait personas. Varla Jean was, of course, Varla Jean but Dina Martina out of his show drag was unrecognizable unless you just know who he is. He’s in the background of one of the shots in the slideshow.
Ryan Landry in a chic little skirt number held court on the front porch and PAAM’s Chris McCarthy grabbed a lawn chair to be ready for the dusk slideshow when the bigger than life went bigger than life.
Both books sold out at the party but we think Bobby has gotten some more. There are also posters in two sizes for each of the books.
