That’s in Provincetown, for the annual Single Women’s Weekend, when the whole seaside town plays cupid for single lesbians.
Whether you're looking for a hot night’s date, friend, lover, girlfriend, or wife, it's certain that you'll meet at least one of these at the weekend's many events. From “speed meeting” to wine tasting, late night dance parties, karaoke, dinners and more, there will be as many activities as women to choose from during this three-day event.
For 2009, a sizzling entertainment lineup has also been assembled. To get everyone in the right mood, comedienne Dana Goldberg, tapped as one of America’s five funniest lesbians by Curve Magazine, will take the mike on May 15. Next up, diva recording artist Lori Michaels will be in town to turn up the temperature, performing her fabled “Me & The Girls” show on May 16 at The Crown and Anchor’s Paramount Nightclub.
And if that’s not enough to get you buying tickets, consider that The Pied Bar will be opening its doors to host two serious “Girl Power” dance parties both evenings. Think Twister, think ‘spin the bottle’, think global soul beats . . . and think of a harborside bar full of women.
Single Women's Weekend brought hundreds of women to Provincetown in its first year, and it’s been growing ever since. The event is organized by women who have bringing women together for years: the Women Innkeepers of Provincetown, who are behind the popular Women’s Weekend in October, and Lynette Molnar, founder of Girl Power Productions, which hosts a series of sexy dance parties at The Pied Bar every summer.
